EDON / FIELD NOTES

Troubleshooting

Technical evaluation guidance.

Two products, two roles

Atlas manages services and data; Argos manages networking and the perimeter. Start with the product technical pages and downloadable software datasheets.

Prepare the evaluation

Document networks, users, services and dependencies. For Atlas, verify service workload and backup/restore tests. For Argos, verify NICs, VLANs, WAN probe reachability, VPN networks and QoS classes. DPI thresholds are not benchmarks.

Operational checks

Atlas exposes service status, metrics and notifications. Argos shows rules awaiting confirmation, WAN status and security and monitoring events. Timed rollback covers the firewall ruleset: do not assume it protects every network change.

Before production

Hardware sizing, HA, recovery objectives and update procedures must be tested on the installation. Do not include sensitive data in commercial requests.
