Mobile app: business services away from the office
With the EDON Client app, you can access business services from your phone while away from the office. The app brings together secure network connectivity, business calling, chat, contacts, calendar and the credential vault. The remote connection also lets you reach other authorized services using a browser or compatible clients. Visible features depend on configured services and user permissions. The app is available for Android; the iPhone version is in development.
One app for working on the move
The secure connection to the business network lets you keep working while travelling or away from the office. Integrated features use your business identity: use your phone extension, communicate in chat, consult contacts and calendars and access credentials you are authorized to view. Users do not need a separate account for each feature.
Service access with your organization’s permissions
The app shows features enabled for the user and available on the Atlas instance. Through the remote connection, you can also reach other business services, subject to network rules and permissions. Email and files, for example, can be used through a browser or compatible client: network access does not mean every service has a native screen in the app.
Android available, iPhone in development
EDON Client is available for Android. The iPhone version is in development; no release date is stated. The project also includes Windows and Linux clients, supporting access to services from a computer.
Preparing access away from the office
The IT team configures services, permissions and external connectivity. Users provide the instance address and their business credentials, with a second factor when required. Features and connectivity depend on the organization’s configuration and installed version. To obtain the app and set up access, ask your administrator or contact EDON.
